What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning and Development Manager position at 10 Fitness?
The Learning and Development Manager (LDM) at 10 Fitness is expected to uphold and deliver the 10 Fitness member and employee experience. They are responsible for improving the productivity of the organization through on-boarding, training, and developing the staff. They should assess company-wide developmental needs, drive training initiatives, and arrange suitable training solutions for team members. The LDM will strive to ensure a safe, fun, and interactive environment in a positive and professional manner.
Managing & Auditing:
- Champion the 10 Fitness history, culture, customer service, and sales processes during the pre-hire process and with active staff.
- Conduct all in-club audits and coaching sessions, and report audit findings to upper leadership.
- Conduct cleaning audits; ensure that clubs receive bi-monthly cleaning audits and maintain their goal of 95% cleaning or higher.
- Ensure that clubs are successful in achieving their KPI goals (50 points monthly) and net revenue goals (monthly) through staffing, coaching, training, and development
- Create action plans for performance improvements based off club audits.
Learning, Training, Development (LTD):
- Maintain and manage 10 Fitness’s Learning Management System (LMS) and build new programming as necessary.
- Manage employees throughout the LMS and ensure their progress.
- Conduct “Culture”, “Operations”, “Sales”, and “Management” training on a quarterly basis.
- Assess training regularly to determine what changes are needed to improve the company’s performance at the employee level.
- Observe the company’s needs and propose future training and development programs with objectives.
- Organize and facilitate employee training and developmental events; modify as needed.
- Report to and communicate with the Director of Operations which clubs and club level employees need additional training and development.
- Train other members of management in employee development training/coaching.
- Facilitate leadership training seminars with 10 Fitness management and leadership, focusing on strength finder assessments, emotional intelligence exercises, employee coaching, and career discovery sessions.
- Develop and maintain organizational communication such as virtual bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
- Conduct follow up studies of all completed training and evaluate/measure the results via the LMS.
Qualifications / Experience:
- 3 years experience in sales and customer service required
- 2 years experience in business management required
- LMS management experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
Certifications / Educational Level:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work Environment:
- Employee may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts while performing duties of this job.
- Employee may be exposed to higher volume levels of noise while in this environment.
- Employee will be required to sit and stand for multiple hours each day.
