What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at 10 Points Inc?
We are actively seeking several dedicated 1:1 Instructional Assistants (IA) to support students across various grade levels (K-12). Our openings span across multiple settings, including general education inclusion, therapeutic programs, and life skills programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students in general and special education settings.
- Assist in the implementation of personalized educational plans.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student success.
- Help manage classroom behavior, assist with instructional activities, and provide personal care as needed.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associate degree in education or related field preferred.
Work Hours:
Middle and High School: 7:45 AM - 2:50 PM
Elementary School: 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM
