Job Title : Special Education Teacher

Location : Dorchester MA

  • Caseload : 12 students approximately
  • Tenure : Asap till the end of 202425 school year

Daily Schedule :

  • Coteach / inclusion support in ELA and Math classes (2 each) with Gen Ed Teachers.
  • 1 resource room block (reading intervention)
  • Supervision : weekly with Special Ed Coordinator
  • Hours : MondayFriday from 08 : 00 am to 04 : 00 pm

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement curriculum lessons and special education programs using effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents updating them on their child s progress.
  • Create a wellorganized inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
  • Provide instruction to individuals and groups in various areas of special education.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the needs outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conduct assessments.

    • Requirements

  • Active Special Education Teacher License in MA (for moderate or severe disabilities).
  • Bachelors degree required; prior classroom experience preferred.
  • Experience in Teaching.
