Position Overview: The Transportation Safety Specialist will support safety and compliance objectives by maintaining policies and procedures through research and coaching.

Schedule: 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. | 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off (rotating schedule)

Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming calls, providing general and specific information about the company and specific safety and compliance related programs.
- Liaison with general office, to include Safety Managers and other staff concerning processing safety and compliance items as assigned.
- Assume responsibilities within normal assignments as well as being available for special project assignments as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Responsible for the analysis of ongoing and monthly statistics to include Safety Cameras, Compliance, HOS and CSA data for reporting purposes.
- Monitor and update systems for asset management.
- Maintain, correlate, and disperse data collection reports as needed to multiple levels of management.
- Be point of contact for reported safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the transportation industry preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to train on policies, procedures, and practices; have knowledge of effective training concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
- Have creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate multiple solutions to make sound decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check test.
