Position Overview : The Worker's Compensation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Company's worker's compensation program and department, including investigating claims, handling settlements, managing litigation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, by developing and implementing policies to minimize costs while providing appropriate support to injured employees.
Schedule : Monday – Friday 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m. ( In Office / Onsite)
- On-call for injury reporting 50% of the week.
- This role requires approximately 25% travel.

Claim Management : Investigate and evaluate worker's compensation claims to determine eligibility and coverage.Manage the claims process from initial reporting through settlement, including communication with injured employees, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.Negotiate settlements on claims to achieve cost-effective outcomes.Act as the primary liaison with the third-party administrator and oversee its programPolicy Development and Implementation : Develop and implement comprehensive workers’ compensation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations.Establish guidelines for claim reporting, medical treatment, and return-to-work programs.Risk Mitigation : Conduct safety audits and identify potential workplace hazards to prevent work-related injuries.Collaborate with other departments to promote employee safety awareness and training programs.Cost Control : Monitor and analyze workers’ compensation costs to identify trends and areas for cost reduction.Legal Management : Manage litigation related to worker's compensation claims, including coordinating with legal counsel.Represent the company in hearings and appeals related to disputed claims.Reporting and Analysis : Generate regular reports on claims activity, cost trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Qualifications :
3 years of experience in worker's compensation claims management, preferably in a leadership role.Leadership Experience : Ability to manage a team of claims professionals and oversee the overall worker's compensation program.Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Laws : Deep understanding of state and federal workers’ compensation regulations.Legal Acumen : Familiarity with legal procedures and litigation related to worker's compensation. Experience and / or certifications for OSHA investigations and reportingClaims Management Expertise : Proven experience in managing workers’ compensation claims throughout the lifecycle.Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
