$65,102.17 - $100,908.37 The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other conditions of health. Occupational Therapy includes the performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems. Occupational Therapists help people with physical injuries or illnesses or who have lost function due to accidents, illness or age regain their independence with activities of daily living. They work and counsel patients to create a plan of care to help them recover their highest level of independence.Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Administers patient evaluation and treatments employing occupational therapy modalities, procedures, and interventions.
- Schedules patients, maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, submits accurate billing information within insurance restrictions.
- Maintains department productivity expectations and documents at point of service.
- Participates in rotations in all clinical areas.
- Participates in teaching, including annual Inservice to peers.
- Participates as a clinical supervisor for OT students.
- Supervises OT assistants.
- Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas
- Participates in department quality improvement activities
