Position Summary: The Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the manufacturing facility.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors, multiple times a day
- Cleaning of break room tables and team member areas throughout the workday
- Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces
- Clean restrooms 2 times daily, including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls
- Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap
- Clean entrance glass and other interior glass
- Work effectively with other team members
- Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, time & attendance
- Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners
- Remove trash from containers and replace torn or soiled liner
- Clean designated smoking area daily
- Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
- Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details
- Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others.
- Work will be completed in parts of the facility that are not temperature controlled.
- Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
