Position Summary: The National Manager of Community Sales is responsible for overseeing the formation & strengthening of business relationships between Clayton and our community partners. The position will participate in Clayton’s planning & execution of strategies to increase sales, production, customer experience & company growth within Communities for our home building facilities. The position will oversee work done by the Business Development Managers.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Align appropriate resources between Clayton & our partners.
- Execute work that is funneled from various Op’s leaders
- Visit key leaders at their corporate office to share out Clayton’s efforts & plan ways we can strategically work together
- Serve as the face of the business at National events
- Resolve major legal, financial or quality issues
- Oversee monthly goals, sales performance & training
- Create structure & tools for our company to be successful in managing community business
- Identify business needs & assign out as necessary
- Have regular discussions with team members on known opportunities in various areas of the business
- Work with team members & graphic design company to create sales training platforms
- Host weekly sales huddle with team
- Support each team member through weekly one-on-ones
- Establish growth plans for individual team members & reevaluate quarterly
- Set goals & provide resources to team members to ensure their success
- Provide market insight & sales strategy on long-term business decisions
- Perform due diligence on competitor business and potential start-up locations/acquisitions
- Host customer leaders for on & off-site visits to Home Office and our home building facilities
- Provide regular updates to leadership on performance of Communities, strength of the market, and key considerations on product
- Create new pay terms & volume agreements to leverage community buying power
- Identify key markets & growth partners
- Work with finance partners such as 21st to develop ways our organizations can leverage our services to increase profitability
- React to real-time business needs & provide solutions
- Answer questions from HBF’s regarding pay terms, A/R needs, partner agreements,
- Consolidate & align processes across multiple facilities working with the same community partner
- Most support is provided through this position’s direct report
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference of Business, Finance, Economics, Sales, Marketing, or similar degree.
- 8 years’ experience as a CSM, BXM, management role in a finance company, partnership in a community operation, or other applicable outside management
- Strong skill set in Microsoft Office. Particularly high skilled in Excel for data analytics & interpretation.
- Presentations & public speaking experience
- Analytical & entrepreneurial abilities
- Ability to travel & flexibility with scheduling
- Must have great attention to detail & organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Skilled in building rapport with a range of audiences
- Ability to multi-task while delivering quality results
- Willingness to learn, hard-working, determined, and assertive
- Ability to work under high-pressure situations
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing.

- Up to 40%
