Job Description The Global Services IT organization remains an integral part of the operations of Eli Lilly. The SAP EWM Architect will understand key technologies used in the area, understand the business & MQ requirements, and develop and evolve the roadmap for usage. The SAP EWM Architect will maintain compliant and in control operational processes and drive them to increasingly higher levels of efficiency. This position will report to the GS IT SAP Infrastructure Operations Manager. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Excellent communications skills. Ability to communicate across a broad range of resources and knowledge levels, from platform admins to leadership, both technical and non-technical Excellent organization skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities and multiple resources across different teams Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present complex topics to groups both large and small Excellent planning and strategy skills. Ability to look into the future and map out patching, upgrades, migrations, and releases across a complex global SAP landscape, with special focus on manufacturing sites Strong leadership skills. Ability to easily navigate various personality types and to direct up to X contract resources and set priorities for their activities and manage navigating through any challenges that arise Broad knowledge of Linux, Windows, Citrix, server hardware, storage, and networking Deep SAP Basis knowledge. Ideally having performed as a technical team lead or implementation execution lead. Deep understanding of performance, monitoring, transport system, RFCs, printing and general troubleshooting Strong knowledge of operating SAP EWM in a S95 model. Strong knowledge of performing SAP EWM upgrades using Zero Downtime Option (ZDO) Requirements: 1-3 years of IT experience focused on understanding SAP WM design & technologies. 1-3 years of SAP tools SAP Portal, SAP GUI, Citrix or other user interface tools. Understanding of IT Incident, Release, Problem and Change Processes 1-3 years’ experience working with external suppliers to deliver a managed service Desire and ability to communicate using a variety of methods in diverse forums Demonstrated ability to influence peers and leadership consistently and significantly Desire and ability to work independently with minimal direction Desire and ability to operate at multiple levels (detail and strategic) Demonstrated ability to triage issues and escalate as appropriate General understanding of GS IT and analytics environments a plus Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) Other Information: 0-10% travel required Position located in Indianapolis Eli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
