Job Description

As a Medical Records LPN, you will be part of a team that fosters growth and progression as a nurse. You will work with patients, building connections and delivering exceptional care. Your role will involve maintaining a safe environment, following infection control procedures, and participating in quality improvement protocols. You will also assist with patient arrival, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and procedures, recording vital signs, and recognizing abnormal findings or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and advocate for a safe environment and follow infection control procedures.
2. Participate in clinic flow and assist with patient arrival, preparation, and treatment.
3. Administer prescribed medication and/or vaccinations and maintain medications properly.
4. Gather clinical documentation and obtain medical records when needed.
5. Document clinical tasks, testing, and procedures appropriately in the patient medical record.
6. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and privacy of personal health information.

Requirements

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
