Job Description Job Summary Under general direction, with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to provide marketing and trading support to Institutions. Regular contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts or information. Works independently on complex assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions. Responsibilities Through the strength of existing relationships, drive positive revenue outcomes with institutional clients by capturing Program Trading business. Develop new relationships by effectively marketing Raymond James strengths and capabilities. Execute Program Trades in North and Latin America. Run Pre and Post Trade Analysis reports for clients and be able to effectively discuss results and outcomes. Cross Sell all Raymond James products into new and existing clients. Work with Sales and Sales Trading to help identify potential clients. Work with Technology, Operations and Compliance to ensure best practices and to generate ideas to help streamline workflows and processes. Stays abreast of financial news/issues that may affect stock and bond prices. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Complies with all existing security regulations. Knowledge of US and Global Markets Program Trading Strategies Algorithmic Trading Strategies S&P, Russell and MSCI Indices TCA OMS/EMS systems Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of institutional equity sales & sales trading. Financial markets, products, and electronic networks. Skill in High level customer service. Marketing skills and sales ability. Using technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers’ commitment to ideas, services, or products. Advanced math and analytics sufficient for quantitative analysis. Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including automated trading systems and proficiency with Bloomberg, Reuters and Microsoft Excel. Ability to Understand how financial news/issues will affect stock and bond prices. Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation. Use technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers’ commitment to ideas, services, or products. Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner. Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with critical deadlines in a fast paced, stressful work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Possess a high energy level. Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and customers. Additional Education And/or Previous Experience Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of trading experience, including coverage of US domestic institutions. OR ~ Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses/Certifications SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied. FINRA Series 7, Series 57 and Series 63 Licenses. The ability to obtain other FINRA Licenses (as required) within three months of hire date.
