Position Summary:

Responsible for administering, overseeing and ensuring the federal, state and local regulations for projects are compliant with the safety and health program.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that your surrounding environment is in compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Accountable for reporting any unsafe conditions and/or accidents to management immediately.
  • Accountable for building trust and rapport with all clients by demonstrating a Professional Consulting Mindset Behavior (PCMB) that produces an understanding of the customer viewpoints through various methods such as asking clarifying questions, effectively challenging to advise appropriately and understanding a variety of viewpoints.
  • Accountable for documenting and recommending a resolution to any identified hazardous or potential hazardous conditions and follow up to validate corrections are acceptable.
  • Responsible to accompany federal, state and insurance safety and health inspections on walk-through tours as required.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all jobs are in compliance with corporate safety policy and procedures.
  • Accountable for conducting regular walk-through inspections of construction jobs to ensure conditions are satisfactory.
  • Responsible for participating in developing and conducting safety orientation training programs.
  • Accountable for investigating personal injury/property damage accidents and perform the necessary steps to ensure program procedures and any federal, state and local regulations are completed.
  • Responsible for reviewing the project site specific safety requirements.
  • Accountable for regularly communicating walk-through inspection results with job project management team and provide assistance with rectifying any concerns regarding hazardous working conditions and/or unsafe employee activities.
  • Responsible for assisting with the preparation of written appeals for safety violation citations.
  • Accountable for understanding and abiding by role, department and Company expectations pertaining to policies, procedures and all other applicable requirements.
  • Accountable to travel as business dictates and ability to accommodate a flexible schedule to meet workload needs.
  • Responsible for performing other responsibilities/duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution in related field; and/or minimum of 5 years equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of educations and experience, required.

Knowledge:

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, required.
  • Bilingual; required.
  • OSHA regulations and certification needs, required.
  • Usage of predictive solutions inspection reporting applications, required.
