Job Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist ET is responsible for a variety of responsibilities including conducting planned maintenance activities, installing all plant electrical, troubleshooting and programming PLC's according to procedure while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production. You will report to the Maintenance Team Leader. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs location. Starting up to $27.27 per hour, (Attendance Incentive $0.60 for second shift and $0.70 for third shift)
Essential Job Functions:
- Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
- Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
- Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
- Knowledge of electronic testing equipment
- Knowledge of Planned Maintenance
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics/prints
- Advanced computer experience including knowledge of spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Complete work/purchase requests
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and operate all plant electrical (e.g., switch gear, high/low volt, drives, parts, and lighting)
- Set-up all electronic equipment for scheduled production runs
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all electronic equipment (e.g., wiring, scales, and metal detectors)
- Troubleshoot and program PLC's and encoder systems including wiring
- Conduct daily/weekly electrical PM's
- Fabricate custom electronic parts
- Implement safety devices on production lines
- Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline) in English
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, and confined spaces
- Be LOTO/PIT certified
- Knowledge of normal/abnormal processes
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. College or trade school.
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of electrical/electronic or related experience required. PLC certification preferred.
