Join a group of motivated professionals actively serving 35,000 employees in their telecom needs. We are in process of a major program to update our telecom platforms to Cisco across the enterprise.Some of the activities that we are going to have the Sr. Engineer focus on right now:
Develop patch management
Install and perform initial configuration of automation platform
Setup DR planning / testing
Setup certification management process
Work with the monitoring FTE to setup the initial monitoring in SolarWinds
Summary
Provides advanced understanding of the Cisco unified communications (UC) infrastructure.Job Description
Assists in evaluating new technology and in shaping the long-term strategy. Assists with the technical coordination during outages across the network. Provides expert Tier 3 support for Cisco unified communications technologies. Operational responsibility of unified communications solutions. Ability to work directly with Internal customers to gather information and troubleshoot issues. Engage and collaborate enterprise-wide to support and maintain solutions to enable effective communications tools. Interact directly with the business to assist in providing direction on appropriate usage of unified communication technologies. Provides support and guidance to UC engineer and technician staff.
Must be able to drive to locations requesting services and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required or five years’ experience related to communication technology.
Valid Driver’s License required. Must maintain a good driving record.
