Location: Portland, OR
Duration: ~10 weeks
Start Date Options: May 19th- July 25th or June 23rd - August 29th
Application Deadline: January 26th, 2025
Pay: $22.50/hr
ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear’s Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable an IT infrastructure across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500 geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Build, test, and deliver solutions that are secure, maintainable, performant, and scalable using object-oriented frameworks, and cloud PAAS approaches.
Operate as part of an agile team executing against a backlog that covers a broad swath of different domains across the enterprise.
Strengthen the team’s adoption of modern testing practices, deployment tools, and frameworks.
Build and cultivate a DevOps culture and mindset.
Collaborate with peers in an agile environment to solve problems and identify process improvements within the team. Actively learn and develop technical and non-technical skills.
YOU ARE
Self-driven and motivated to learn and adapt quickly to new programming languages, frameworks, cloud technologies, and development patterns and practices.
A strong communicator with a technical vision for Columbia’s information management and engineering standards.
Creative contributor looking to deliver a superior product while working with a small scrum team.
Able to transition complex business processes into software solutions that meet defined outcomes.
YOU HAVE
Majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.7 from an accredited college or university.
Experience coding in an object oriented based language
Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
Experience working in an Agile portfolio and software development team.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Current student with one of the following academic standings: Rising Senior, Senior, Graduate/ MBA student
Degree relevant to the internship you are applying for
Must be able to participate in 10-week program for either date option provided above
·Must be able to work onsite at our headquarter location for the duration of the internship- interns will partner directly with their managers regarding expectations to work collaboratively in office specified days of the week
NON-LOCAL CANDIDATE CONSIDERATIONS
Relocation assistance & housing is NOT provided- these costs and arrangements would be the responsibility of the intern for the entirety of the program
