Approve and manage dietary orders submitted via purchasing software systems:
Review daily dietary and food supply orders.
Advise on strategies to reduce spending.
Recommend cost-effective alternatives for food and dietary products while ensuring dietary requirements are met.
Evaluate the necessity of high-cost items and large quantities.
Serve as the main point of contact for facility purchasing and food service staff:
Communicate with Food Service Directors daily regarding dietary orders.
Assist with purchasing software training
Manage and process off-system orders for products that are unavailable through the standard purchasing software.
Ensure transparent communication and excellent customer service for stakeholders:
Respond promptly to inquiries from dietary staff, facility operators, and vendors, providing clear, accurate information.
Provide detailed spending analyses and purchasing reports to facility operators upon request, offering insights to optimize food service budgets.
Foster strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of quality products and resolving any issues that arise.
Other duties as assigned.
