The Opportunity This position works out of our Sylmar CA or Austin TX facily. What You’ll Work On Abbott is currently seeking an experienced professional to provide: Provides direct oversight for moderately complex elements of Abbott’s compliance program at the franchise, business unit, regional, divisional, or corporate level. Responsible for directing the development and administration of OEC education and training, and development and implementation of divisional monitoring plan. Identifies compliance risk areas and recommends action plans to ECO or direct management. Responsible for direct compliance support of key business activities for the applicable business unit. Responsible for direct compliance support to e.g. sales teams, marketing teams, and building compliance program to support their activities. Responsible for managing monitoring at a business unit level. The Sr. Manager performs the following with minimal supervision from the OEC Senior Director: Partners with all levels of key divisional business functions to provide moderately complex OEC and divisional policy interpretation and requirements, compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations. Conducts moderately complex policy and procedure reviews and updates related to OEC policy and divisional/affiliate procedures ensuring clarity, applicability, and compliance. Develops, delivers and updates OEC’s comprehensive training program on moderately complex OEC and divisional/affiliate policies and procedures, including US Policies and Procedures, Conflicts of Interest, and Abbott's Code of Business Conduct. Assists with development and delivery of training on complex OEC and divisional policies and procedures. Develops implements, modifies, and oversees corporate and/or divisional monitoring plan to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Assists OEC Director/ECO on compliance audits, oversees the fulfillment of auditors requests, acts as liaison between business and auditors during on site activities, evaluates and responds to all moderately complex preliminary findings and recommendations, guides the business in preparing corrective action to address moderately complex findings and recommendations, and ensures timely completion. Directs and participates in Compliance Review Committee and Compliance Steering Committee meetings and provides input on violation process. Oversees the tracking and trending and proposes recommendations for corrective actions. Provides guidance on proposed commercial programs, identifies moderately complex legal and regulatory issues, analyzes alternatives, and works with legal, as appropriate, to propose solutions to the business. Possesses solid knowledge of Abbott’s businesses and knowledge of the broader business impact Participates and may lead moderately complex OEC programs cross-divisionally. May have direct reports with people management responsibility. May assist in selecting and recruiting team members. Position Accountability / Scope Accountable to the OEC Senior Director. Assigned matters/business units have moderate impact to Abbott’s compliance program. Provides guidance and direction to Coordinators, Compliance Analysts, as needed. Operates independently with well-defined expectations, checking in frequently with direct OEC leadership as necessary. Required Qualifications BS/BA required. Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and/or finance. Must have strong written and verbal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree preferred. May include fields such as JD, CPA, MBA, Masters relevant fields including Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences. Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations. Experience with data analytics. May include building, iterating, and managing reports and/or dashboards in relevant systems such as PowerBI or Tableau.
