We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern - Equipment Design to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to the Director of Automation and Advanced Manufacturing and will be based in Fremont, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

 Role and Responsibilities:

• Support our Proof of Concept and Specification development activities

• Design of the fixtures and experiments

• Work with control engineer to design automation sub-systems

• Tackle some of the day-to-day production issues and implement a solution

• Design, build and delivery of material flow systems

• Find and work with experts in the field for application studies

• It may required to travel to 3rd party supplier site to perform tests.

Skills and Experience:  

• Must be a junior or senior graduating by Summer 2026 working toward a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. 

• 3D CAD design preferably with SolidWorks

• Being able to generate 2D drawings to order parts

• Familiarity with 3D printing

• Self-motivated problem solver

• Hands on design, fabrication and assembly of mechanical systems

• Must be eligible to work in the US.
