Status: Regular Full Time

Schedule: Mon. – Fri. 6:00a – 2:30, with an ½ hour lunch. No swing shifts, no graveyard.

Starting Pay: $19.00/hr

Pay Range: $19.00-$20.00/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Janitor, or Cleaner, is responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant, cleaning bathrooms including toilets and urinals, and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety: Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.

Productivity: Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.

Stewardship: Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping areas clean and orderly.

Attendance:   Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, following the attendance rules and regulations of the division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Clean and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash
• Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Organize janitorial storage areas
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift at least 50lbs, as well as other physical duties as needed.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly with others.
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
