Mobility Specialist Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Mobility Specialist is integral in the successful installation, service and maintenance of various types of accessibility equipment serving a variety of limited mobility users.
DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
- Installation of accessibility equipment: ramps, vertical platform lifts, patient lifts, auto lifts, elevators and other related products
- Thoroughly trains customers how to use their new equipment in a safe manner
- Evaluates the customer’s environment for safe and effective means for installation of mobility products
- Maintains warehouse inventory in an organized and efficient manner
- Coordinates daily work efforts with all aspects of the organization
- Identifies and adheres to safe workplace practices and observance of OSHA and fire regulations
- Safely loads equipment in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with policies
- Transport products in a company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws
- Utilizes the proprietary operating system to record customer interactions, upload pictures and other related paperwork, set and review scheduled appointments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ideally has 5 years of experience in the remodeling or construction sector or experience installing and repairing equipment
- Mechanical and technical ability with electronics and installation and servicing of products
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 65lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
