Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Director for our Emergency, Observation and Stroke Care Units who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Director you will:
• Assure high quality standards of care within the unit by using the nursing process as reflected in the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice
• Be responsible for sharing information about the organization’s initiatives and efforts to ensure effective operations, effective work relationships and informed and engaged employees
• Effectively manage the financial pro forma of the department in accordance with the strategic plan, mission, goals and values of the organization
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in support of the continuous quality improvement efforts in order to achieve high quality in all areas of care and service
• Optimize the function of the Nursing Department through effective human resources management
• Be responsible for maintaining departmental compliance with all JCAHO Human Resource Standards
• Be responsible for personal conduct, which maintains adherence to the Corporate Compliance program
• Promote organizational effectiveness and maintains high quality environment
Qualifications include:
• Graduate of an approved professional nursing program
• Master’s Degree required in healthcare administration or management
• 3-5 years’ experience in management required
• Licensed / currently registered to practice in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Work Schedule:
The position follows standard office hours; however, departments operate 24/7. Clinical Directors will also participate in a rotating schedule as the Administrator on Call.

Pay Range:
$127,850.69 - $191,776.04If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
