Smart Grid Solutions is seeking an analog/mixed-signal design engineer for developing complex mixed-signal ICs for energy measurement and smart grid applications. The circuits to be developed include low noise amplifiers, high performance sigma-delta ADC’s, precision voltage references, voltage regulators, crystal oscillators, and high efficiency DC-DC converters.
Responsibilities include:
Learn from customer feedback to understand their real-world problems
Collaborate with the development team and mentors to define and specify new products and applications
Design and verify analog/mixed-signal circuits (including schematic entry, simulation, layout supervision, etc.)
Develop and use of behavioral models for simulation of analog and mixed-signal circuits
Verify analog and mixed-signal sub-systems and the entire chip using transistor-level and behavioral models
Evaluate and debug engineering samples
Implement fixes as needed to bring circuits into production
Minimum Qualifications:
Understanding of the fundamentals of analog circuit design
Familiarity with languages such as Verilog, MATLAB, Python a plus
Passion and dedication to take ownership of a project from start to finish
Ability to find and fix complex circuit problems in the laboratory
Diligence to work independently
Commitment to collaboration and sharing knowledge with colleagues
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required, Master’s preferred
