Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, managing credit exposure, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of credit management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Monitor and manage credit exposure to minimize risk and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and collections teams to resolve credit-related issues and disputes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
- Conduct periodic reviews of customer accounts to assess credit limits and risk levels.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact credit management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in credit analysis software and financial modeling tools.
- Knowledge of credit management principles and industry regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as Certified Credit Risk Analyst (CCRA).
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with credit scoring models and risk assessment techniques.
