We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist I - Potency Assay Biologics position working as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in West Point, PA. Senior Scientist I – Potency Assay supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development Responsibilities Supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development Supports laboratory maintenance, e.g. monitors the controlled temperature units, incubators Completes sample submission & sample management Maintains accurate documentation and records Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience in biology or related field, or a Master’s degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience in biology or related field, Required Skills and Experience Current cellular biology and immunoassay experience Analysis of biologics including monoclonal antibodies and/or other therapeutic molecules in one or more of the following techniques: Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and binding potency assay Cell-based assays, e.g. reporter gene assay Automated liquid handling system, e.g., Bravo, etc. Analytical software e.g. Softmax Pro, (user level) Experience with BSL2 (Biosafety Level 2) Sample submission & sample management Cell culture (typically mammalian)Documentation (electronic notebooks) Desired Skills and Experience Automated liquid handling Project management, e.g. sample management #LI-DK1 EEO Disclaimer Parexel is an equal opportunity employer.
