1. Responsible for all functions of operating hypo therapy units in both the central service area and patient care areas to ensure safe and effective operation of equipment.

Rotating Days | C Shift 6:00AM - 6:00PM CT

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise to customers regarding the use of BD products and services

• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed (incl. QA)

• Maintain complete and accurate records of all activities required by departmental policy/procedures including training and quality assurance

• Demonstrates understanding of the proper handling of equipment, supplies and gases

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations

• Follows Standard Operating Procedures

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as outlined in procedure

• Assists with troubleshooting and problem resolution

• Communicates with customer service representatives concerning equipment problems

• Participates in Quality Assurance programs

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and converse in English

• Minimum Required: High School Degree or GED equivalent

• Completion of training program in Central Service / Sterile Processing preferred

• Experience in decontamination process for instruments, surgical case preparation, and endoscope reprocessing

• Understanding of all medical device reprocessing, sterilization, and quality assurance practices

• Knowledge of FDA guidelines for reprocessing of medical devices

• Skill in identifying specialty instrumentation

• Working knowledge of healthcare technology

• Excellent communication skills

• Computer literacy (to include Microsoft Office suite)

• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
