Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Qualified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients in accordance with prescribed orders and ensuring their overall well-being. This position is based in an Assisted Living facility and requires strong knowledge of medication administration systems and patient care. Duties: - Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Follow proper medication administration procedures and protocols - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects - Document medication administration accurately and timely - Assist with other aspects of patient care as needed, such as assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs monitoring, and dementia care - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care - Maintain a clean and organized medication cart or area - Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures Qualifications: - Valid certification as a Qualified Medication Aide - Previous experience in an Assisted Living or similar healthcare setting preferred - Knowledge of medication administration systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) - Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation - Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards patients We offer competitive pay rates and a supportive work environment.
