Director of Wellness of Vermillion Place in Anderson
As the overall leader of the nursing department, the Director of Wellness directs and maintains oversight of all clinical operations at Vermillion Place. The Director of Wellness works collaboratively with other department leaders and health care professionals to ensure the residents enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Essential Duties andResponsibilitiesinclude the following:
- Directs operations and maintains compliance with Indiana State Board of Health regulations affecting the facility’s nursing functions.
- Advises and assists Executive Director in planning and developing administrative and operational policies and procedures, facilities use and planning, and strategic planning.
- Recommends establishment or revision of policies, procedures, and methods.
- Coordinates implementation of methods and procedures to ensure achievement of objectives.
- Consults with Executive Director, department heads, and others to coordinate nursing activities with other facility activities.
- Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff
- Analyzes and evaluates overall resident care program.
- Confers with managers and staff concerning problems of resident care.
- Evaluates the education and training needs of personnel and directs development and implementation of in-service programs through subordinate staff.
- Makes regular periodic rounds of Resident care units.
- Develops and promotes cooperative working relationships with external care partners. Represents the facility to foster good public relations with outside groups and agencies.
- Directs the preparation and monitoring of nursing services budget.
- Maintains appropriate communication with Executive Director and Director of Clinical Operations.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana RN license or LPN License.
- Experience in Assisted Living, senior care or home health.
- A commitment to leading with integrity, respect and loyalty.
