The Shingle Installer is responsible for the proper installation, alignment, and securing of shingles in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that shingles are installed efficiently according to quality standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and secure shingles onto roofing panels or prefabricated structures as per production guidelines.
Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and overlapping of shingles to meet quality specifications.
Operate hand and power tools, including nail guns, hammers, and cutting tools, safely and efficiently.
Inspect materials before installation to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Follow manufacturing blueprints and work orders for accurate shingle placement.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist in quality control checks to ensure proper adherence to industry standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production quotas and deadlines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in roofing, construction, or manufacturing is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Willingness to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:
Indoor manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Requires standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Safety gear (gloves, eye protection, hard hats) may be required.
