HealthRIGHT 360, a family of programs, is located across 13 different counties in California. HealthRIGHT 360 provides an array of medical and behavioral health services to some of the most marginalized populations, ranging from primary care, mental health services, detox, substance use disorder treatment in both residential and outpatient settings and transitional services for the criminal justice population.
The San Mateo clinic is a federally qualified health center that provides primary care, and addiction treatment. We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and chronic medical conditions. We work closely with the county behavioral health system. We provide team-based care in an integrated care setting. It is the responsibility of the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) to act as a clinical leader by providing quality primary care and addiction care services to HealthRIGHT360 (HR360) patients in a integrated care delivery model, helping to grow the overall practice, and promoting team functioning. The PA/NP provides clinical supervision and oversight, including clinical review, and input into the performance appraisal and hiring or firing of clinical support staff. They act collaboratively with an assigned physician according to California state law. They are also responsible to uphold and imbue in others a commitment to addressing racism, and gender and sexual discrimination within the organization and our clinical practice. The PA/NP must be able to work in a team-based model of care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care Responsibilities: • Provides comprehensive primary care and addiction care, within the scope of credentialed privileges and standardized procedures, to HR360 patients in a team based delivery model • Documents care promptly and following charting protocols and applicable CA state licensing requirements
Performance and Quality Improvement Responsibilities: • Meets benchmarks for applicable quality indicators as noted in the annual quality management plan including the development of an appropriately sized continuity panel of patients and the maintenance of current productivity standards;
Organizational Responsibilities: • May supervise students as appropriate; • Maintains availability for various administrative/clinical duties as requested by supervisor (e.g., case presentations; in-service training to staff;
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education and Experience Required: • Graduation from a United States accredited program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.• Possession of a California Nurse Practitioner Certificate; OR • Possession of a current, valid California License to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance • Possession of a current, valid California Registered Nurse License, • Possession of DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate• Possession of BCLS/CPR certification• Familiarity with medication assisted treatment
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
