The Supervisor, Mental Health Programs is responsible for overseeing key aspects of staff management, program operations, and client engagement. This role includes conducting interviews and hiring staff, providing weekly supervision, and facilitating team meetings to ensure effective communication and performance. The Supervisor III, Mental Health also leads audit preparation and facilitation, oversees Client Satisfaction Surveys, and attends monthly AOA meetings. Additionally, this position manages referrals, engages in outreach efforts, and works to maintain high standards of service delivery.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES      Program Management:  Oversee the overall operations of the program, ensuring program goals, guidelines, and procedures are met.  Coordinate daily operations and services, maintaining a focus on safety, security, compliance, and accountability.  Prepare for and facilitate contract monitoring audits and generate regular program reports.    Staff Supervision & Development:  Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of program staff and student interns.  Provide direct supervision, ongoing training, and support to ensure staff understand and adhere to program policies and procedures.  Facilitate weekly supervision and staff meetings to enhance team communication and effectiveness.  Manage staff coverage, review and respond to time-off requests, and oversee program services such as referrals and client transitions.    Clinical Oversight:  Supervise clinical services, ensuring trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.  Provide clinical consultation and review staff documentation, co-signing clinical notes as needed.  Implement evidence-based interventions and oversee the delivery of direct client services, including assessments, crisis intervention, case management, and group facilitation.    Productivity & Performance Expectations:  Maintain a consistent caseload and meet program-defined productivity goals.  Ensure timely completion of required documentation, including client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.  Balance administrative, supervisory, and direct service responsibilities to ensure program efficiency and compliance.    Compliance & Quality Assurance:  Ensure staff maintain accurate and timely client documentation to meet internal and external compliance requirements.  Conduct regular audits to ensure contract compliance and address any discrepancies in Electronic Health Records.  Oversee Client Satisfaction Surveys and use feedback to improve service quality.    Collaboration & Outreach:  Attend monthly AOA meetings and represent the program in relevant discussions.  Lead outreach efforts to strengthen community engagement and manage program referrals.    QUALIFICATIONS:   Education and Experience   Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. A valid license under the California Board of Behavioral Science (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) At least 4 years' experience providing behavioral health services. A minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency preferred. Experience with government contracts and compliance preferred.    Knowledge and Skills  Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications. Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Knowledge of community resources for non-profit substance abuse treatment facilities preferred. Experience with government contracts and compliance preferred. Knowledge of Clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes etc.) preferred.      Background Check and Other Requirements  Must complete background check and livescan clearance
