Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director of Operations for our Post Acute Care Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As Director of Operations, you will:
• Identify, develop, and execute operating plans and metrics for hospital ancillary programs by providing subject matter expertise and leadership
• Direct subordinate staff in efforts to ensure the cost-effective and efficient delivery of ancillary operational services which contributes to financial stewardship and employee satisfaction and retention
• Collaborate with the COO in the annual and long-term business planning process for the service area
• Assure short and long-range goals are met by managing and controlling the budget for assigned departments
• Oversee the functioning of all building systems and projects in collaboration with contractors and system-level facilities leadership. Assist in planning for large-scale projects and negotiating costs
• Identify and recommend strategies and best practices to reduce costs and improve service delivery, as well as work to ensure that policies and procedures for obtaining goods and services are adhered to
• Provide expert consultation to the departments of ancillary operational support in the development of strategies to support business goals and objectives
• Consistently support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting the organization's assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements, and FWMC policies and procedures
• Participate in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to measure and assess the quality of services provided, as well as participate in the development of ancillary managers, leaders, and teams
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field; Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred
• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing the delivery of ancillary services
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory/management experience
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, especially those relating to environmental services, hazardous waste management, and safety
• Demonstrated experience in project and budget management
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position that will primarily be day shift, however, it is expected that occasional weekend or evening hours will be needed.

Pay Range:
$116,227.90 - $174,341.85In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
