Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Location: Greenfield, IN 46140
Job Type: Contract
Job Duties:
- Program and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC machines including probe routines.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machine setup and operation.
- Optimize end mill selection and speeds and feeds.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools
- Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and parts gauges.
- Use computer to document production activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to optimize production processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Provide training for lesser skilled operators
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Experience with CNC programming and probe routines.
- Experience selecting appropriate end mills and optimizing spindle speeds and feeds.
- Prefer candidate with experience in Hurco WinMax conversational programming.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with exposure to coolants and lubricants.
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment within manufacturer’s height and weight requirements and guidelines for operators.
