Job Duties:
- Prepare and sterilize the operating room (OR) for Endovascular, Open Heart, Thoracic, and Hybrid OR procedures.
- For Hybrid OR cases, ensure the appropriate integration of both surgical and interventional equipment.
- During Endovascular Procedures, assist in the setup of fluoroscopy, guidewires, catheters, and other devices required for minimally invasive procedures.
- In Open Heart Surgery, pass surgical instruments and perform required tasks to support heart-lung bypass machines, surgical site preparation, and other advanced cardiac equipment.
- Assist with the setup and use of interventional radiology tools such as fluoroscopy and angioplasty devices in Endovascular procedures.
- Be proficient in assisting the surgical team during combined interventional and surgical cases, particularly in the Hybrid OR.
- Assist in patient preparation, including sterile prepping of the surgical site and ensuring patient positioning is appropriate for complex surgeries.
- After the completion of Open Heart or Thoracic surgeries, assist in the immediate care of the patient, including assisting with the transport to recovery.
- Ensure sterilization of all surgical tools and equipment, paying special attention to the requirements of both open surgery and endovascular techniques.
Job Requirements:
- 1 years of experience as a CVOR Surgical Tech
- BLS from AHA Certification
- NBSTSA or NCCT Certification
