ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER
Location–West Jefferson, NC
Job Description :
Plan and execute all phases of a project from initiation to completion including but not limited to contracts, insurance, permits, utility tickets, safety programs, schedule and equipment planning.
Provide clear communication to management regarding project scope, safety expectations, policies / procedures, and project performance.
Manage, process and document project change orders and submit to estimator.
Monitor project costs (labor, material, equipment, subcontractors) and identify opportunities for improvement / savings.
Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize and direct daily activities on projects.
Serve as the liaison between contractors, subcontractors and others to facilitate project activities.
Represent our Excavating Company in all project meetings.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Manage project closeout process (punch list completion and closeout documentation) to ensure an orderly and efficient closeout is achieved.
Strive to be at the job site(s) daily
Log all safety meetings.
Meet with foreman / supervisor weekly so management team knows how to plan for upcoming projects.
Report project progress and budget to client.
You will be required to clock in to tsheets for each project each day.
