Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Education Specialist RN for our MedSurg department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As an Education Specialist, you will:
• Keeps current with orientation, training issues, OASIS items as well as Federal and State Regulations
• Develops clinical competencies in collaboration with Team Supervisors and managers
• Collaborates with Performance Improvement Department and numerous committees to develop and implement initiatives to improve quality and care to AHH customers
• Provides/coordinates all professional education activities for home health regulations and disseminates information to home health staff
• Acquires and maintains current knowledge related to all home health skilled nursing visits
• Conducts and revises as needed the AHH Orientation program
• Acts as lead preceptor for Silver Spring branch
• Acts as lead to facilitate preceptor initiatives for the agency
Qualified candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years’ management experience and/or clinical experience
• 3-5 years’ program and/or staff development experience preferred
• 2-3 years’ Home Health experience
• 2 years’ experience at AHH preferred
• Maryland RN Licensure
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required

Monday through Friday Day Shift 8a -5p

Pay Range:
$77,313.60 - $115,980.80In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
