Position Highlights: Position: Laboratory Assistant II Hourly Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $19.31 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks Location: Evanston Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, e/o weekend and rotating holidays. What you will do: Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimen Assist with quality control processes and procedures to assure that instruments and reagents meet the required standard of performance Performs related clerical and service tasks such as answering phone inquiries from nursing staff and physicians and gives results data as required. Maintains a safe work environment by using required protective devices. Handles biohazardous materials and chemicals according to established protocol. Participate in inventory and ordering management. Actively promotes patient satisfaction and customer service values with all staff members. Treats patients with respect and care. Instructs and encourages coworkers to treat patients and hospital staff courteously. Enhances the laboratory image by reacting positively with all customers. Support new staff through training and mentorship. Ensure quality and compliance through completion and correction of laboratory logs. What you will need: Education: Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.
