Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Systems Support Specialist role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include: Working in the Bioanalytical Laboratory at our world-class Research and Development Center, the incumbent will: Provide support for computerized laboratory systems used in bioanalytical testing including, but not limited to, Watson LIMS, mass spectrometers, chromatographic systems, automated sample handling systems, spectrophotometric and electrochemical luminescence plate readers, spreadsheets, and database applications. Support the development of GxP system lifecycle documentation, including validation plans, user requirements specifications, functional and design specifications, testing protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ/UAT), traceability matrix, validation summary reports, SOPs, change controls, and risk assessments. Perform troubleshooting and provide assistance to Bioanalytical employees for software applications and laboratory system. Assist in the creation of training materials and training activities to enhance the level of user understanding and system usage. Perform user acceptance testing and/or qualification testing on laboratory systems. Serve as a technical support in the implementation of system changes, within the guidelines of current change control practices. The minimum qualifications for this role are: An Associate Degree with 2-4 years of experience, however a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 0-2 years of experience is preferred. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. A basic understanding of general networking and computing architecture, application lifecycle management is desired. Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Basic, or similar programming language and instrumentation specialty software is highly desired. A general understanding of current regulatory policies applicable to pharmaceutical industry practice and health authority regulations and expectations would be a plus. Must be accurate and detail oriented. Ability to educate/communicate issues and techniques to individuals of various backgrounds and levels of understanding. Ability to work effectively with internal and external team members is necessary. Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.
