Purpose:
This is a temporary position supporting the launch and operation of a unique, pop-up restaurant concept within the hotel. The Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of all restaurant operations during this limited-time engagement.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and guide restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts.
- Ensure efficient and timely service to all guests.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment.
- Assist with ordering and receiving of food and beverage supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations.
- Build strong relationships with guests to foster repeat business.
- Train new staff members on restaurant procedures, service standards, and safety protocols.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff to improve performance.
- Contribute to the overall success of the restaurant pop-up concept by providing valuable insights and suggestions.
- Assigned other duties by Management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or in a similar role in a high-volume, causal restaurant environment.
- Experience working in a pop-up or temporary restaurant setting is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in POS systems and other restaurant management software.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Food Handler's Certification (required).
- TIPS certification (preferred).
