Satellite Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Satellite Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite communication systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently in various field service environments. The Satellite Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring reliable telecommunication services for our clients.

Duties

• Install and configure satellite communication equipment, including antennas and receivers.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing satellite systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity and performance.
• Conduct fiber splicing and low voltage wiring tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations and service calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during installations or repairs.
• Document all work performed, including installation details and service reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in satellite technology.

Requirements

• Proven experience in computer networking, including knowledge of Ethernet protocols.
• Strong electrical skills with the ability to work with telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and network installation practices.
• Experience in field service roles, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
