Job Description
Your Team
EA Platform Architecture works within Invesco's Global EA organization, collaborating with Assurance, Business, Data, Domain, and Practices groups to provide guidance and governance for Business organizations, Solution Architecture, and engineering teams. We provide platform governance for Applications, API, AI, Cloud, Enterprise Content, Infrastructure, Security platforms.
Your Role
This role is accountable for the architecture design and governance review of engineering platform solutions with responsible solution architects for application platforms. Additionally, this role partners with domain, enterprise and solution architects to understand and drive adoption of platform patterns in their roadmaps and strategies.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Develop and coordinate EA engagement with platform engineering teams to produce architecture strategies and roadmaps, including API management, web content management, enterprise content management, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Low-Code, DevSecOps and application frameworks.
Build and maintain application architecture strategies, reference architectures and architecture roadmaps
Perform Architecture work supporting the usage of platforms in systems solutions
Partner on application architecture patterns and standards for web applications, batch applications, event driven architecture, serverless application, containerized applications, domain API’s and microservices
Review and approve architecture solutions via EA governance to ensure strategic alignment, avoidance of tech debt and alignment to architecture principles
Support the solution architecture community for platform solution architects
Collaborate with domain solution architects and the cloud team on cloud application migration strategy
Partner on establishing an API management strategy, Low Code strategy and additional strategies enabling digital experiences
Hands-on support for POC’s to evaluate new technologies and usage patterns
The Experience You Bring:
Respected experience in an architecture role, supporting application architecture in sophisticated enterprise environments
Experience with the design and development of API’s
Experience with cloud migrations
Experience with DevSecOps technologies, processes, and practices
Proficient with architecture modeling using industry standard notation languages (Archimate)
Experience with drafting and institutionalizing architecture patterns and architecture standards
Experience with software application development in multiple programming languages and technology platforms
Experience with application design and development on one or more cloud platforms
Familiarity with AI
Basic business understanding of financial services and asset management
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to see the big picture, thinking and acting strategically
Strong influence skills both directly and indirectly of individuals across the firm to embrace enterprise architecture standards and recommendations
Ability to work independently; self-starter/self-motivated and within a team
Excellent relationship leadership skills with the ability to act with influence and build consensus

Formal Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.
License / Registration / Certification:
Preferred Certified TOGAF
Preferred Vendor Certifications from AWS or Microsoft Azure
