As a Behavioral Support Associate at the Barber National Institute, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to individuals with behavioral challenges in the Northwestern School District. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior support plans, reinforce positive behaviors, and promote skill development. Your work will make a direct impact on the lives of the individuals we serve, helping them achieve their goals and thrive in their daily lives.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position that works during the school calendar year.
What you’ll have:
- High School Diploma/GED or bachelor's in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, education, or criminal justice with two years of direct behavioral or education experience.
- Valid, active driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Eligibility for State Police Criminal Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI DHS Clearance, and FBI PDE Clearance (FBI Aging Clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements)

- Monitoring and documenting behaviors, progress, and interventions while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Engaging individuals in behavioral and skill-building activities to promote independence.
