Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a Pharmacy fulfillment team, including drug warehouse / inventory, and supplies. Plans, coordinates, directs, and participates in all activities related to the dispensing, delivery, receipt, and handling of medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. Works with site leadership to develop policies, procedures, and the business plan for the site. Oversite of production levels and service standards. Oversite of hiring, training, and evaluation of staff. Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex assignments/projects. Use deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.

This is the 2nd Shift onsite position at our St. Louis, MO pharmacy fulfillment location. The shift is Monday through Thursday 1:30PM – 12:00AM.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and monitor staff and day to day workflow. Develop employee’s skills, evaluate performance, and provide feedback. Facilitate resolution of employee relations. Conducts hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
- Develop, track, and monitor employee’s compliance to safety, quality, service, and production standards.
- Monitor prescription turnaround time so that internal standards and client performance guarantees are met. Assist to monitor costs to ensure compliance with cost to fill goals. Address staff concerns and day to day operational, system, customer service, quality, and professional issues. Work in production as needed.
- Implement programs and process improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided. Work with Director of Operations to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy.
- Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve. Represents pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings and projects.
- Assist with inventory oversight of Warehouse activities as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
- Experience with pharmacy operations or PBM – preferred
- Relevant operations experience (i.e., pharmacy, warehouse, distribution, production, manufacturing, engineering)
- Must be eligible to maintain a pharmacy technician license issued through the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy throughout time in position – Required
- Demonstrated leadership skills; to include direct management of various levels of staff
- Knowledge of lean or process improvement methodologies and ability to implement continuous improvement strategies; certification in lean, Six Sigma or related principle preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results
- Analytical thinking and demonstrated ability to leverage data for problem solving and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Able to work towards specific deliverables within environments of tight deadlines and significant pressure
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Demonstrated operational decision-making (i.e., staffing, demand planning, quality, etc.)
This role is Worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite.
