We are seeking an experienced, customer service focused dual rate valet supervisor at The Cherokee Hotel at Harrah's in Cherokee, NC. We provide a first class valet parking and seek friendly, outgoing individuals with a desire to create a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
As a dual rate valet supervisor, you will support both valet and bell operations by guiding the team while on duty. Dual rate supervisors are the linchpin to a successful operation and must always maintain a positive and impactful presence.
FULL-TIME POSITION (OPEN AVAILABILITY INCLUDING WEEKENDS REQUIRED)
Hours: Sunday - Saturday (11:00PM - 7:00AM)
SUPERVISOR DUTIES:
- Guide the team's interactions with guests and fellow employees by being a positive role model.
- Provide oversight to operation through demonstrated competence in guest services, parking strategy and proper reporting.
- Ensure team has tools needed to perform respective duties, share communications through pass along logs, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the valet team ensure prompt service for every guest.
- Train and develop staff as needed to ensure top-level service and hospitality.
- Ensure that appropriate service recovery measures are followed to ensure guest satisfaction with our services and associates.
- Perform ancillary duties as directed.
- Maintain professional appearance of yourself, your team and work area while on duty.
- Give constructive feedback to employees when needed.
- Lead by example in attitude, attendance, punctuality and willingness to do whatever it take to make the team successful.
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize duties.
- Drive vehicles to and from the valet drop off area, parking them safely in the parking area and securing the vehicle
- Greet customers
- Maintain valet area appearance for safety and cleanliness
- Ensure parking areas are orderly
- Maintain professional appearance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintaining a positive attitude as a service professional. Your smile and welcoming words will set the tone for your interactions with guests.
- Greet guests and escort them to their rooms.
- Assist guest with their luggage as they arrive or depart and provide appropriate luggage ticket.
- Maintain proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
- Work collaboratively with the hotel/valet team to provide outstanding service from the curb; assisting with luggage, packages, etc.
- Offer directional information, driving/hotel related.
- Build relationships while interacting with guests over an extended period of time.
- Assist guests with answering questions; seek out answers when unclear and follow-up with guest.
- Perform ancillary duties as directed.
- Maintain professional appearance of yourself, your uniform and work area while on duty.
- Be willing to accept constructive criticism.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Six months leadership experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license required
- Candidate must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen - oral
- Candidate must submit and pass a gaming Work Permit Application
