The Position As Chapter Head Digital Excellence you are part of Roche Pharma (Switzerland) AG, the Swiss pharma affiliate of Roche with domicile in Basel-Stadt. The Head of Quality provides strategic direction and leadership to the local Quality Chapter, acting as local integrator of all quality functions. Furthermore, the Head of Quality contributes to the leadership of the medical team as well as the entire affiliate by providing strong functional expertise and ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards as well as applicable requirements. Key Accountabilities: Digital capability building in RPS Translates Global digital strategy into a RPS digital strategy with clear priorities and accountabilities Creates alignment with enabling teams on strategic objectives leveraging digital Sets and drives the digital agenda for RPS by assessing, implementing, and leading overarching digital projects (e.g. e-learning platform, patient services portal, SEO strategy etc.) Manages the research, analysis, and monitoring of technological developments and designs plans to capitalize on digital market opportunities Represents consumer, marketing, and merchandising point of view to identify new business/content opportunities and effectiveness of digital initiatives Selects, develops, and evaluates employees to ensure the efficient operation of the Chapter Drives digital understanding and co-creation in RPS by setting ambitious and motivating OKRs for the Chapter Actively participates in joint initiatives of Roche Pharma and Roche Diagnostics to find and implement digital health care possibilities Digital Customer Engagement Develops, coaches, and ensures digital customer engagement excellence of all customer engagement functions to accelerate growth and enhanced digital capabilities – considering the Digital Customer Engagement Roadmap (DCER) Effectively drives and implements digital customer-centric collaboration and interaction across RPS (“digital as second nature”) Collaborates closely with the Head of Marketing in: The development of digital marketing programs and overall website strategy to maximize the brand presentation, consumer experience and support the integrated marketing strategy The management of strategies to optimize digital marketing tools and programs such as website customer interface, search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliate marketing, email marketing, online shopping channels, blogs and vlogs The establishment of online content partnerships, measurements of web usage/trends and management of vendor relationships Steering direct advertising programs both online and offline Creation of Digital Solutions Establishes effective cooperation relations between different areas and levels of health care Builds cooperation relations with top IT players (in coordination with Group IT) Works with the development team for implementation and testing of new functions/features Collaborates closely with the Head of Data-enabled Medicine in: Finding the best partners for developing digital and personal medicine, acting as an “interpreter” and a link between medicine and IT with the purpose of creating a whole while understanding the importance of details Solving problems by implementing a user-focused approach – creating new solutions that are user-friendly for patients, doctors, hospitals, public authorities, etc. Internal interactions Enabling Team and other Chapters (especially Marketing & Data-enabled Medicine) Network of other ecosystem, patients, customers and other stakeholders) Top IT players Qualification/Knowledge and Experiences University degree, typically with 5 years of experience Proven track record in leveraging digital solutions and technologies Strong business acumen, enterprise and digital mindset Significant experience as operational and cross-functional business leader e.g. Digital or Business Excellence Head Deep understanding of digital customer needs, customer relationship management, sales management effectiveness, new commercial models and (digital) marketing excellence Proven track record to manage multiple projects, to be accountable for individual and team results Experience in innovative digital skills training, sharing best practices and agency optimization Experience working in a matrix and managing diverse stakeholders, including external stakeholders Skills Digital and technology expert Business acumen and financial awareness Excellent presentation and communication skills
