Part Time Home Care Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Part Time Home Care Worker to provide housekeeping assistance to a man in in his Racine apartment. The Home Care Worker will play an important role in keeping the living environment clean and safe for the client. The worker will be responsible for cleaning the apartment's living areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met, and organizing the apartment to reduce any hazards. Proper time management is key to balancing these tasks while also ensuring the client’s needs are met. The client prefers to have cleaning/organizing on Mondays. Duties

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and organizing living spaces.
• Develop a positive relationship with client based on mutual respect and kindness.

Skills

• Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment for clients.
• Experience or training in human services is highly desirable.
• Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients’ needs.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities, fostering independence while providing necessary support.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with the client.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a criminal background check prior to hire.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
