What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialized Childcare - Siblings position at 1217014?
We are seeking an experienced Specialized Childcare Provider for two young brothers. Their mother will be present and you will be supporting her to care for them after school into the early evening. Shifts will occur in the boys’ home and in the community. Reliability and consistency are necessary. The boys enjoy floor activities/play, toy cars/trucks, little people toys, and being outdoors. Shift: 3pm to 7:30pm - 3 days per week (Parent prefers Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but wiling to be flexible)
Wage: $14.13 per hour
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable vehicle with auto insurance
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with nonverbal children with developmental disabilities.
- Must be able to lift child -45lbs to secure in seat at table or into car seat
- Must pass a caregiver background check
Duties:
- Bathing
- Toileting/diaper changes/help with potty training
- Chart in stool journal
- Cleaning/sanitizing
- Medication administration
- Mobility assistance (leg braces, wheelchair for long distances)
- Attend boys’ medical appointments with Mom
- Community outings/public events (family gatherings, children’s museum, stores, YMCA)
- Open to on-call for last minute needs or emergencies.
