Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements for a variety of affiliated companies.
- Record transactions for proper accounting, tax, and other financial implications, including acquisitions, dispositions, financial arrangements, entity creation, or restructuring
- Prepare work papers, schedules, and reconciliations in support of financial statements, audits and tax return preparation
- Prepare budgets and analysis of financial performance
- Provide analysis of financials for use in company decision making
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the broader 1248 team
- Complete special projects as needed
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to adapt to evolving needs in a high-volume, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong work ethic and understanding of the cyclical demands of the accounting profession
- High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to conceptualize and support big picture concepts and goals of the organization
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years cumulative work experience
- Previous accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
