Arch Insurance Group Inc., AIGI, has an opening with the Claims Division on the MidCorp Team as a Claims Service Associate. Investigate claims that involve non-complex liability issues on Commercial Liability policies. Evaluate and address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving level. Negotiate and resolve non-complex property damage claims. Manage an inventory of claims files while providing exceptional customer service.
Specific duties include but not limited to the below:
Proactively work with other functional areas and business partners in the claim handling process, driving efficient and effective execution
Prepare, process and deliver key claims reports and communications as required
Claims Processing and Administration
Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate Claims administration systems
Basic ability to analyze, study or examine data in depth to draw conclusions. Manage to avoid failures before they happen, able to resolve them timely. Apply communication tools to handle customer complaints and queries.
Investigation and Reserving of Claims
Ability to effectively receive and apply information from various sources, and analyze, study or examine data in detail to draw appropriate conclusions
Qualifications
- College degree a plus.
- Must currently possess active claims adjuster license or be able to obtain a claims adjusters license within 90 days of hire date.
- Must possess or pursue a claims adjusters license within 90 days of appointment to position
- Minimum of 1-3 years of business experience, claims, general insurance or financial services preferred
- Prior experience and understanding Insurance products, terms and conditions desired
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
