Pamela Lindgren is retiring Job Summary The purpose of the Cardiac RN job is to: · Providing comprehensive skills specific to Cardiac and Pulmonary Nursing · The RN works directly with the physicians, radiology technicians, cardiology staff and scheduling to coordinate testing for the patients. · Performed required tasks with advanced skill and in-depth knowledge of current evidenced based practices related to cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to both inpatient and outpatient populations. · Understands co-morbid conditions, diagnostic procedures, treatment regime and has advanced working knowledge of normal and abnormal responses in the setting of exercise stress testing. Qualifications Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts Current BLS required. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing BSN preferred. ACLS and PALS required within 6mo. Competent to assist with stress testing within 1 year of employment. ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification within one year of employment Certified Exercise Specialist, American College of Sports Medicine within one year of employment PREFERRED · Radiology Nursing Certification EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years current broad based nursing experience Radiology Nursing, ER/ICU/Cardiac/Critical Care experience strongly preferred. Three years ICU experience preferred.
