Job Summary PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of your job position is to perform all patient exams with the highest degree of skill, fully utilizing all radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CAT scan equipment and protocol to consistently obtain images which demonstrate diagnostic levels of radiographic density, contrast, and resolution. You will respond to on-demand requests for service in a timely manner. Ensure the policies and procedures which will guarantee the Safety of CT patients and others in the CT environment and the quality and appropriateness of CT imagining are met. Responsible for training all new incoming CT staff and maintaining the staff schedule. Continually following up on current and updated/new guidelines and ensuring all CT technologists are also informed. This position will work with the department leader to coordinate the schedule and appropriate staffing for the department. Administrative duties will include assisting the Director of Diagnostic Imaging increating and updating policies, scheduling preventative maintenance, and establishing and maintaining guidelines as per ACR accreditation, JAHCO and the Mass DPH. The Lead CT technologist will alert the Director of Radiology and leadership of any equipment malfunction and excessive downtime with continued updates on the status of the scanner. #LI-OnSite Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: · A Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) and completion of a two-year AMA approved Radiologic Technology program and one year of clinical training in CAT scanning techniques in a JCAHO approved facility. · Supervisory or Lead experience preferred. EXPERIENCE: · Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice in this state. · Must be registered and certified by the ARRT in both radiology and CT.
